What is Microsoft Power Apps?

Key Microsoft Power Apps Updates for January 2020
These Power Apps updates for 2020 help improve performance. Here is an overview of what’s new with Power Apps:
• SAP ERP connector | If you are using SAP ERP, this is for you
• Updates to Power Platform Center of Excellence Starter Kit | Contact JourneyTEAM and we would be happy to review this in more detail with you
• New Office 365 Integration features in Common Data Service
• General Availability of the Azure AD SQL Server connector
• Power Platform Dataflows | If you have ever used dataflows in Power BI, you can now use dataflows in Power Apps and Power Automate. This gives you the ability to grab data sources from multiple locations and aggregate them together. Microsoft is extending the Common Data Service and is now allowing you to extract data from multiple sources and combine them together.
Other important updates to Power Apps:
• You can now add incremental refresh on dataflows. This has historically been something you needed premium to do.
• You can now add Microsoft Stream videos inside of channels in Canvas Apps
• Test Studio is a new built-in part of Canvas Apps that allows you to test your Canvas Apps to make sure they are working properly. You can build tests for specific use cases in Power Apps to ensure that as you make changes and updates down the line you don’t break it unintentionally.
