Note: In the video, I accidentally said "liver oxygen" when the correct answer should be "lung oxygen." We apologize for this error. The 1-minute sleep technique. Don't forget to subscribe for new videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/hakanmen...
How is the 1-minute sleep technique performed?
First, place your tongue against your palate, resting it behind your upper front teeth, and hold this position throughout the exercise. This tongue-to-palate practice is very old. Healers used it in traditional healing practices. It's believed that touching your tongue to your palate balances the energy in your body.
In the first step, we placed our tongue on our palate. In the second step, we'll inhale through our nose for 4 seconds. Try to inhale for a full 4 seconds. Then, hold your breath for 7 seconds and exhale for 8 seconds.
You might be a little confused. Let's do it together. We inhale through our nose for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, and exhale for 8 seconds. We repeat this three times.
This technique has been used in Asia for centuries to help us fall asleep. However, it's not widely known in Europe. One of the technique's biggest proponents is Dr. Andrew Weil, a Harvard graduate.
Breathing in through your nose for four seconds and holding it in helps deliver more oxygen to your brain. Holding your breath for seven seconds, on the other hand, affects your blood flow, and consequently, the air you inhale, and therefore the oxygen. Exhaling through your mouth for eight seconds helps you release carbon dioxide from your lungs.
