Country Girl Lyrics
She’s my country girl
Just living in the center of a hoedown world
I’m her city boy
Taking back roads home up to Illinois
I’m no superman
But I know I’m gonna love ya to the very end
She’s my country girl
Just living in the center of a hoedown world
Holding hands we was only 10
Took off in your daddy’s truck alone again
He was kinda mad he got over it
We were young in love, that’s the short of it
I really miss the smell of your mama’s place
I just miss the breeze and your pretty face
No other girl I know takes the time of day
To brush her horses off and keep my stables clean
Running through the fields in the pouring rain
We were Chasing all the cows, we was wrangling
I got dirt all on my boots, that’s a working man
Got my baby on my mind, in my loving hands
Giddy up let's take a ride to town
New tires on the truck let’s get dirty now
We’re muddin’ in the sun, blowing off our guns
We’ll have a bit of fun til the Sheriff comes
The city’s not the same without her
The farm was quiet but we made it louder
And I just really miss her laughter
She smiles biggest when she rides my tractor
