📌 How to Configure Etherchannel on Cisco Switches
In this tutorial, the configuration of Etherchannel with PAgP is discussed. The network consists of two switches, A and B, which are connected by two links. The two physical interfaces of each switch, Fa0/1 and Fa0/2, are grouped to form a single logical link. The switch A is configured in "Desirable" mode of PAgP protocol, while switch B is set to "Auto" mode to respond to the request from switch A to form an Etherchannel. The "show etherchannel port-channel" command is used to verify if the port channel is active, and the "show ethernetchannels summary" command provides a quick overview of all created Etherchannels. LACP configuration is similar to PAgP, with just the different modes indicated on the ports. PAgP can only be used between Cisco devices, while LACP is a standard I3E, allowing port channels to be created with devices from other providers.
