Toyota Prius Hybrid Battery Cell Replacement
Ok, I was getting the dreaded P0A80 error code on my hybrid battery... this means it is time to replace the high voltage battery... this procedure can cost between $1000-$3000 to get a new one of these batteries... Fortunately, only one of my cells was bad... and I was able to identify which one, by measuring the cells, with a DVM volt meter! I was able to fix this problem for less than $100, by buying a replacement cell from ebay.. this is a 2008 Prius, and that battery is a gen 2 battery. That is quite a savings... fixing the hybrid battery yourself!! hope this helps!!
