The third episode of the 16th story is dedicated to the art of the Reformation era. Many consider this era to be the pinnacle of virtually all art forms, the High Renaissance. The great Leonardo da Vinci, his younger contemporary Raphael Santi, and Michelangelo Buonarroti are considered prominent and typical representatives of this period. The northern wing of the Renaissance, represented by Albrecht Dürer, Lucas Cranach, Pieter Bruegel, and Rembrandt, also made a significant contribution to the development of painting and drawing.
