This person destroys bees' eggs, but does so for the good of the hive. During times of stress, bees lay reserve eggs in case the queen dies. However, if new queens hatch while the old one is still alive and healthy, a civil war breaks out between the supporters of the old and new queens. This conflict continues until one of the queens dies or one of the groups leaves the hive. To prevent colony splits, beekeepers either destroy the reserve eggs immediately after they hatch or mark the new queen and move her to another hive when she grows up.
