A short video of the graphics and audio settings I use on my laptop to get better game performance with Sven's Glide-to-OpenGL wrapper for Diablo 2, PlayOnLinux, Wine and Driconf. My actual FPS is higher than what is shown in both the gameplay and glide test parts of this video because I was running video capturing software simultaneously. Also included in this video are some ways to fix Pulseaudio sound issues.
Images of these settings can be viewed on Google Drive here: https://goo.gl/lLZrl1
A zip file of the images can be downloaded from Google Drive here: https://goo.gl/pqwxkT
I use these settings on an Inspiron 1318 with the following software and specs:
Linux Kernel 4.4.0-45-generic x86_64
Wine Version Wine 1.3.28-VERTEX X64
(Works with Wine 1.3.28-VERTEX 32bit also)
PlayOnlInux Version 4.2.10
Pulseaudio Version 1:8.0-0ubuntu3
Svens Glide Wrapper Version 1.4e
Driconf Version 0.9.1
OpenGL version string: 2.1 Mesa 11.2.0

For Pulseaudio fixes try the following:
Use Wine 1.3.28-VERTEX-BLENDING (Either 32-Bit or X64 )
Adjust Audio Settings In Wine Config to the following:
Hardware Acceleration = Full
Default Sample Rate = 22050
Default Bits Per Sample = 8
Then add openal32 to override in the Libraries tab.
That has fixed my Pulseaudio problems every time.
