TUESDAY REAL ESTATE TABLE TALK
What a great weekly update! I always love chatting with Brandee Lee Crooks, AKA Lender Brandee. What I love about these little table talks is we do a weekly update but we also just talk about real estate in general and I always get a lot out of it.
So this week there's a lot going on. Mortgage rates are adjusting, home inventory is starting to kick off because of the summer market and rents are up 14 percent! Holy crap, if looking at the price of rent increases doesn't start lighting a fire under people to try to buy, I'm not sure what will.
Its mind blowing to me how much rents are going up, way outpacing mortgage rates by more than double. I talk a little about that and my views.
We also talked a little about new homes that are for sale by builders and the report that will be coming out later this week. Im curious to see how that goes.
In southern California, if the government would just help instead of hinder, so many more homes could be built and its really sad to see we are nowhere near where we need with housing availability. I think that's a discussion for another time, for sure.
