this must have been the most frustrating raw video i've ever edited, i'm d e c e a s e d
idk what went wrong, the song didn't even sound all that terrible to edit with and surely i didn't have lack of inspiration, but it took 4374823 years to finish regardless. well, at least it's done and i won't have to deal with any of it anymore LOL i'm not sure about the result, i actually finished this yesterday evening but it looked so awful to me that i decided to just sleep and check it out again today, and in fact after that it didn't look nearly as terrible (i guess it was just all the piled up frustration making me see things worse than they actually were), but i'm still not 100% convinced. well, what can i say, at least i can tell the song fits the pairing 100% so this already makes me happy and the scene selection makes me wanna cry because it goes from all happy to angst and pain and ahhh i love them so much
this is my entry for the 2018 SaruMi fest, which is a week when fans of this pairing gather and post their works on tumblr. i did a video last year too, which was SAD as well, i wonder if i'll ever edit something happier with them one day? haha
but i was glad to edit this video because first of all i heard this song for the first time one year ago or more, and IMMEDIATELY thought about SaruMi, it fits so much it's not even funny. so i started a project (which for me means: drag the song into SV, cut it and then just do the video in my head without actually editing anything) and never continued it in the end. i thought this was a good occasion to finish one of my 838432890 unfinished edits, i was undecided between this and another one and this was the final choice. i still wanna do the other one too though LOL and the fact that i edited with these two for the first time in July since the year started kinda weirded me out, since you know, if we could sum up everything that's on this channel probably a good 10-15% would be just them :/ but i'm sure there will be many more new edits in the future, considering a movie focused on their first encounter and their relationship throughout the years is coming out in october and i'm SO EXCITED. i never would have thought in my life that i'd see the day when the manga would be animated :')
