COMPTIA CYSA+ LAB: NETWORK MAPPING AND TOPOLOGY DISCOVERY– ZENMAP
We gain entry to wired network by connecting a cable from the network to our machine. If it is wireless (Wi-Fi) network, we crack the network and gain the wifi password and use it to connect to the network. Now what is next?
Zenmap is a GUI for Nmap (Network Mapper). Nmap (Network Mapper) is a free and open source tool for network scanning. Zenmap using Nmap will scan a network for us and gather information about the devices that are connected to that network. This will help us gain the information that we could use to hack into the machines that are conncted to that network. We can launch zenmap by simply typing zenmap from the command line.
