Often, components require voltages that aren't readily available. In such cases, we need to provide these voltages. A fundamental component for this is the Zener diode, also known as a Z-diode. It's somewhat simpler with voltage regulators like the L7809 or the MCP1700. During these experiments, we'll also learn about another measurement option using an oscilloscope.
For higher power applications, however, it's recommended to use ready-made step-down or step-up modules. These operate much more efficiently than simple regulators.
