THE LONELINESS OF THE WHITE MOUNTAINS | HIKING IN CRETE GREECE
You can walk for days through the high desert of the white mountains without meeting a single person! The central summit region of the Lefka Ori is one of the few European desert areas.
Almost 50 peaks of the Lefka Ori are higher than 2000 m, they enclose over 20 larger gorges, the most famous of which is the 13 km long Samaria Gorge.
Enjoy!

I love being in nature and discovering the world on foot.
Why hiking? Hiking makes you happy!
Why does hiking make you happy?
Hiking limits you to the essentials, hiking is the most original and natural way of moving Homo sapiens, hiking is flow, hiking is deceleration, hiking is nature, hiking is the best way to move from A to B, hiking is (sometimes) being alone, hiking is healthy and the best gym, hiking is a powerful mental trainer ("I've done it!" exploring your limits and strengthening your self-confidence - no coach in the world can give you that inner power), hiking is generational, hiking is always and every time different.
So go out in the nature. Inhale air. Be amazed. Enjoy the adventure. Hike.
