Identification - Disidentification
Identification is a necessary stage in personality development, but not sufficient for the emergence of a whole person. The next step in development is disidentification.
Point of View.
From what perspective do I view myself, my life? There is a position in which I privatize my attention. I withdraw from the realm of the unconscious and become an Observer. By cultivating reflection, I gain greater awareness, which can lead to self-awareness. From this place of self-perception, life only begins. Everyone's path is different, but the only way to awaken is to direct our attention inward. We identify ourselves as an object of observation, research, and... embark on a fascinating journey of self-discovery.
