Hawaii Athletics is a DISASTER...
So the outgoing president of Hawaii chose to fire their beloved athletic director before the school has even named a brand new president. His reasoning, he did not want to leave a mess in the hands of the incoming president. From an outsider's perspective, Hawaii’s athletic programs seemed to be going in the right direction under Athletic Director Craig Angelos. The decision seems like a political move that is leaving the athletic department and those that fall under it a mess that is going to be really hard to recover from. I never thought I would make a video like this but it has been all over my social media this week so I wanted to take a deep dive into the mess that is Hawaii athletics from an outsider's perspective, but a fan of the football team and someone who has some family ties to the state.
