A mother leopard will ferociously charge, bite, and strike a lion to defend her cubs, often targeting sensitive areas to surprise them. While this high-risk maneuver can succeed,, it is a desperate act, as lions often kill leopards and their cubs, and in some cases, the mother may be forced to escape.
