When Dr. Mark Wisch noticed he was bleeding, while on vacation with his family on Cape Cod, he quickly realized the situation was dire. It turned out be
internal bleeding that doctors at the local hospital were struggling to stop. That’s when Boston MedFlight was called in to take him to another hospital that had the resources to help. That was one of two times Dr. Wisch needed their help in one month, back in 2017. A year later, his wife Cindy Wisch needed Boston MedFlight’s help, too. Since then, the couple has kept in touch with the first responders who saved their lives. They joined Jenifer McKim to talk about their experiences, along with the director of aviation operations for Boston MedFlight, Mark Onorato.
