SEIZE THE DAY- BLM 2020 - Animation
Hello everybody,
it's been a while, but I couldn't just go back to a normal animation without addressing a major part of 2020, the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement and its importance in modern society! When I was halfway through making this, people were already slowing down on their activism and no longer talking about it, this is a MOVEMENT, not a MOMENT! Continue to spread the word and be actively anti-racist!

The reason I chose the song "Seize the Day" from the Newsies musical was not only because the lyrics do a good job of relating to what's going on today, but also because those who may not listen to musicals might still recognize the tune or the title because of the song's popularity and be more willing to watch something BLM related since they'd be more interested if they're familiar with the song.
There are many other songs that have lyrics that resonate well with current events, and I encourage others to make similar projects and videos, maybe helping people learn a thing or two while also being entertained.
I love all of those informational cards and stuff that people keep making and putting on social media, but after you read many of them, it can be easy to lose the point of them in the first place and get bored of reading them.

The first step of change is realizing the faults of our past, and 2020 is a big year for change.
So please, keep the movement going in whichever way suits you best.
