Hi everyone!

MASTERING & PUBLISHING

Workflow overview (time codes):

[MASTERING]
00:05:06 Output Level: I select Streaming because I am going to upload this track to my YouTube channel later
00:05:15 Judging by the tonal balance, my track is mixed quite well, except that there are a bit too many low end
00:05:30 Perhaps I'll additionally make a smooth cut in the 30 Hz region (12 dB/oct)
00:06:03 Looking for where excessive activity is heard in the low frequencies
00:06:20 It looks like there is some kind of overload in the 90 Hz region, so trying to reduce it
00:07:03 I think it sounds better now
00:07:09 Attenuating this frequency a little more
00:07:31 I like the way the low-mid/high-mid sound
00:07:40 Switching to Digital mode for linear phase processing
00:08:20 Listening to Dynamic EQ
00:08:48 I choose IRC 4 Modern so that the track has the cleanest sound and causes the least amount of distortion
00:09:05 Overall I like the sound of Low-Mid, High-Mid and High, but I'll try working with Low
00:09:20 High-end roll-off at 16kHz to remove unnecessary sizzle/top-end harshness
00:10:26 I'll look for the problematic low using FabFilter Pro-Q3

[MIXING]
[BASS] 00:12:27 Somewhere around 100 Hz I'll make the attenuation a little more
[KICK] 00:13:19 And slightly attenuating the 96 Hz region of the kick drum
[BASS] 00:14:31, 00:14:48 Making the bass volume automation a little quieter in the final part of the track
[STRINGS] 00:15:33 Also making it quieter

[MASTERING]
00:17:19 The main point is to try not to change the settings in Ozone 11, but to make edits in the mixing project

00:17:28 Removing the 90 Hz attenuation and moving it to the 100 Hz region
00:17:40 In the end, the difference is small, but it is still there
00:18:20 Trying to attenuate other areas of low frequencies and listen to the result
00:19:57 Hahaha, I forgot to turn on the solo synth in the mix in the mixing project

[MIXING]
[SYNTH SOLO] 00:21:51 Turning on
[TOMS (GROUP)] 00:23:45 Making a cut in the 60 Hz region
[ACOUSTIC GUITAR] 00:24:37 Turning down the automation volume
-[BASS] - 00:25:06 Making the automation volume a little louder
-[BASS] - 00:25:25 Making the automation volume a little quieter

[MASTERING]
[SPAN Plus] 00:26:37 It doesn't show exactly what I want to see (Max Crest Factor)
[OZONE 11/Maximazer] 00:28:04 Applying Upward Compression to enhance low-level detail and mix density

00:28:45 Well, at least the solo is already playing, heh
00:28:58 Using the master channel knob responsible for SIDE, STEREO, MID and listen to how it sounds

[MIXING]
[CYMBALS] 00:31:05 Making the cymbals louder
[CYMBALS] 00:31:50 Fixing arrangement gaps by manually placing missing samples
[SNARE] 00:36:07 The same problem applies to the snare, structural fix
[SYNTH SOLO] 00:38:53 Adjusting the volume in the mix

-[SYNTH SOLO/AUTOMATION] 00:39:52 Creating a smooth fade-out

[MASTERING]
[FabFilter Pro-MB] 00:43:07 Cleaning up the "Mud" at 135 Hz via Downward Expansion
[LEVELS] 00:46:18 Checking mono, stereo field, dynamic range and headroom

[FabFilter Pro-L2]
00:47:06 Setting the Output Level to -1dB
00:47:19 Increase the Gain so that LEVELS shows -14 LUFS (I need this for subsequent uploading of the track to my YouTube channel later)

[OZONE 11/Maximazer] 00:48:52 Reducing Upward Compression from 2.4 to 1.6
[LEVELS] 00:49:17 This LUFS indicator suits me

[MIXING]
// Turning up the volume a little bit
[SYNTH SOLO] 00:50:10
[CYMBALS] 00:50:23

[MASTERING]
[LEVELS] 00:52:45 I guess I need to add about 0.5 more to LUFS
[FabFilter Pro-L2] 00:52:52 Adjusting the Gain to the value I need

[MIXING]
[CYMBALS] 00:56:46 Adjusting the volume of the cymbals

[MASTERING]
[LEVELS] 00:59:47 The indicator is normal
[SPAN Plus] 00:59:55 Max Crest Factor looks better now

[OZONE 11/Maximazer] 01:02:56 Setting up Dithering as I'm gonna export the track in WAV 16-bit
[FabFilter Pro-L2] 01:03:05 I choose Oversampling: 32x to achieve a cleaner and more accurate sound
[FabFilter Pro-MB] 01:03:11 Cleaner low-end and artifact-free rendering

01:03:15 Exporting the finished track to WAV 16-bit
01:09:57 Exporting the finished track to MP3 (for myself)
