Mass Effect Legendary Edition’s latest patch has fixed the Xbox Series X headset bug.
Many players were having issues with the game on Xbox Series X, with the launcher crashing or becoming unresponsive when using a wireless headset.
Now, as revealed on an EA blog, the bug has been fixed for Xbox Series X and there has been several other improvements across all platforms for BioWare’s remastered collection of games.
The patch notes reveal general fixes, including: “Fixed the main issue where the launcher would crash or become unresponsive on Xbox Series X when using a wireless headset”. Though it states that the issue can still persist if you enable/disable a headset in the launcher, while adding that a future fix will resolve this.
“Improved iris shaders for better interaction with light and ambient occlusion” and “Minor calibrations, fixes, and stability improvements”.
While specifically for the original Mass Effect, they have improved terrain textures and “Fixed an issue where kills for achievements/trophies weren’t tracking correctly”.
For both Mass Effect & Mass Effect 2, they have “Resolved an issue where the character code would sometimes not display in the squad menu” and made “Improvements to pre-rendered cutscenes to reduce occasional artifacts”.
For Mass Effect 2 alone, there is improved lighting and shadows in certain cinematics and minor visual, rendering, and VFX improvements and they have also resolved minor text issues with achievements.
While for Mass Effect 3, an issue where kills for achievements/trophies not tracking correctly was fixed.
