[2.11] Lavender - UpLawer
Here's a pretty interesting art/modernistic styled level from a creator I've never heard of before! By the way, the thumbnail is my first attempt at creating a thumbnail myself! I know it isn't really the best, I hope to learn more about how to make a really cool one sometime in the future. With that said, let's give this a review! :)
Gameplay: This is definitely not something unplayable, but I've seen better gameplay for this difficulty. Some of the gameplay is inconsistent compared to the rest, such as the red orbs in the gravity switch portals at 0:46. Also the ship transition at 0:31 was awkward, it proves frustrating because you can crash easily if you haven't practiced, which is something you don't want to do ideally for a 4 or 5-star level. Overall it's alright.
Decoration: Some parts are very creative, some are average but overall very cool! I love how the 3D objects are incorporated into the background at 0:41, I also like the small details in the same background as well. My favorite part is the modern design mixing in with effects at 0:56. However, there is room for improvements as well. I would like if the effect at 0:32 were smooth, it is very choppy and not well executed. It's also a very overused effect, so there's another downside. Overall pretty interesting! :)
If I were still mod I would send this for a 4* feature :) However, the gameplay may hinder its placing on the feature board.
