Hobi Faces Two Fans 'Fighting' For His Attention | BTS j-hope
Hobi's "Hope On The Stage" tour is a masterpiece from start to finish. But one of the highlights is definitely the intro to "Equal Sign."
Hobi performed the first of his two shows in Macau at Galaxy Arena on May 17. He then uploaded his much-awaited soundcheck video on Instagram.
As expected, Hobi walked up to the audience during “Equal Sign” in his Macau stint. He usually picked one lucky ARMY from the front row, so you could see the excitement from those in the barricade. But Hobi decided to switch it up a bit and chose someone from the seated section. Unfortunately for the chosen ARMY, her nerves got the better of her, and gave Hobi her phone instead of her hand. And that simple panic led to an awkward moment. When Hobi returned the phone to his chosen ARMY, another girl grabbed his hand. Now, both girls were fighting for Hobi's attention and tightly holding onto him, making it hard for Hobi to take his hand off.
Despite the awkward situation, Hobi didn't appear to be bothered by it. However, some ARMY were not as forgiving and felt such behavior was inappropriate. Some may think these comments were a bit harsh, but a similar incident already happened before. A previous "Equal Sign" moment caused a major uproar when a fan wouldn't let go of Hobi's arm. She was clearly not the chosen ARMY as Hobi politely thanked her and attempted to move on. However, the fan held on to Hobi with all her might. Hobi playfully pulled his arm but the fan just wouldn't let go. Hobi had no choice but to start the song and continue with the show.
Another video showed that Hobi still had more ARMY to interact with but the fan robbed them of that opportunity. They were understandably upset for missing their chance. Now, the harsh comments during the Macau incident seemed to make sense. All ARMY deserve a fair chance with Hobi and not be robbed of their special moment. On top of that, both girls grabbed Hobi's hand so tightly that they could unintentionally hurt him.
Hobi previously showed his wounds during his livestream. While he didn't elaborate on how he got them, ARMY believed they may have come from fans with long nails. A video then seemingly confirmed this theory. While physically interacting with ARMY, someone pulled Hobi's hand so hard that caused his body to jolt back. This happened days after he showed his wound, so he immediately checked his hand when he went back up the stage. Unfortunately for Hobi, his attempt to be physically closer to ARMY has backfired. Some of his shows were tainted with questionable audience behavior. Fans took things to a whole new level and started caressing Hobi's body.
