What's up friends and family. Welcome to the Type Studio, YouTube channel. You ever wonder what it's like to take a podcast and just turn it into an article you're tired of separating the two of like having a podcast for your company and then also having to rewrite a whole article based on that podcast or, or, or are you just tired of writing articles in general? Because you know, sometimes there's a work smarter, not harder version of everything. So the smarter, not harder version of writing an article would be to record yourself talking it and then putting it into our program Type Studio.
Ooh, smooth plug. No, but for real, our editor is a text-based editor. So if you just take an audio file or even a video file and upload it into the program, it transcribes your dialogue so that you can just edit it like that. Or you can just rip it and take, take everything that you said and use that as a baseline, both are equally possible. Both are equally way more easy than just like fully writing an article, especially if you're somebody like myself that just like rambles and likes to talk. And then when I, when I'm done talking, I'm like, I should have wrote that down now. I don't know what I said the worst feeling, but now you'll never have to have that feeling again.
So I'll show you how to do that real quick. So you don't ever have to have that feeling again. What are you going to do is going to go to our website Type Studio dot co and you're going to go up to the top, right? I'm going to sign up for a free account. Now this will bring you to our dashboard here on the dashboard is where you can house all of your projects, your video and audio projects, as you can see. But for today, we're going to go and we're going to start a new project.
We're going to go and find that podcast or audio recording, or even video recording if you have one too, but like, so you're gonna grab that and you gonna drag it in, you know, let it upload in the program so it can transcribe the dialogue. All right, everybody, once you get into the editor itself, you kind of can be done if you'd like. So on the left-hand side, you can see that there's a transcription of all of the dialogue you say throughout the audio recording. Or if you put a video in video recording, this can just be ripped.
This can, you can take this and just take it elsewhere. If you'd like. Now, if you do want to read along and listen along and make sure that the different parts are exactly the parts that you want to put in your article, you can listen along and edit it this way too, within the editor. Hello, everybody. And welcome to the first installment of the Type Studio podcast. So, uh, with the article, you probably don't want to have an intro. So I'm going to delete the intro. So you highlight it, or if you want to click shift, click, and also highlights it, you can either hit this button right here, the delete section, or the backspace key on your keyboard, and it gets rid of everything and it's going to be going through what it's like.
And there you go, you got it. You can die. You know how to edit within the program. If you'd like, you can also just toggle back and forth with the arrow keys and hit the delete key that way and just do all that. And you can undo control Z and put everything back. Or, um, if you highlight something, delete it, and then you can use this undo button and you can click that and it'll put everything back exactly how you want it.
So now that you have that basic idea of how to edit the transcript on the left within the editor itself, and if you want to export this as text, you're going to go up to the export and go to text, and then you can either download it as a TXT file, which will just like give you the text file of it.
Or you can even just copy the text to clipboard. So if you do that, and then you can just, for instance, if you have a word document or a Google docs, doc, and you just paste, there's the whole transcript, there's everything that I said throughout the video. So take that and do what you will with it. And I hope that helped you just like, you know, work smarter, not harder, you know?
