Capture Flowing Water using a Neutral Density Filter and Entry Level DSLR
After receiving many questions asking how to capture photos of silky smooth flowing water, I decided to make a video on neutral density filters ... more specifically, variable neutral density filters. Neutral density filters are like sunglasses for your camera lens ... they allow you to slow the shutter speed during daylight.
Using a slow shutter during the day means you can capture awesome shots of waterfalls, creeks, streams, rivers, and any waterscapes:). All demo shots in this video were taken in RAW with an entry level DSLR (Nikon D3400 but the D3500, Canon T6i, T7i, Sony a6400, etc. will work).
