In the lightless Chasm, the yaksha Bosacius and the Millelith thaumaturge once supported each other when all hope seemed to have been lost. Bosacius — whose mind was so confused that he had forgotten his identity and past — often mistook Boyang for others. As time elapsed, Boyang realized that he could never reunite with his family, and that Bosacius, his only companion here, was reaching the end of his life. Bosacius may have been seeing visions, for his family — four yakshas each holding a light in hand who were now in the form of shadows — walked past him. In Bosacius's last moments, the yaksha finally recalled his name and past: that he was Bosacius, and his destiny was to make the ultimate sacrifice.
