The Chef and the Frog - Automating Artifactory!
Join me for a journey through Chef Software’s continuous delivery pipelines and the important role Artifactory plays in shipping software at scale. We’ll examine the custom repository layouts that Chef uses to ship all of our (non-Java) artifacts across a large matrix of OS platforms and platform versions.
Next we’ll take a closer look at the interesting open-source tools Chef has built on top of our Ruby client for the Artifactory REST API. We’ll also spend some time discussing how Chef leverages Artifactory user plugins to respond to storage events and publish artifacts to multiple external systems. Finally, we’ll dive into how Chef manages the installation and configuration of Artifactory Pro with, what else, Chef!
