Why is RFK Jr a disaster for public health?
Trump's nomination of RFK Jr for Secretary of to United States Secretary of Health and Human Services is a disaster for Public Health, and here I explain why. The man is perversely ill-suited to the office, and will undermine public health and well-being with his ignorance and conspiracy theory. He is completely unqualified, and one glance at his history should debunk any idea he's on "your side", despite the mindless fawning of wellness influencers. And what's the harm? Ask the families of the 350,000 people who died needlessly under the government of Thabo Mbeki in South Africa when they embraced AIDS denialism; if you put conspiracy theorists in charge of health policy, innocent people die...
