Troubleshooting:
- Try logging in on another PC and another Network if possible.
- Is the game using any of your networks incoming or outgoing data? if so this may just be a background game download holing you back, allow it to finish :) This is checked via the resource monitor on Windows.

If the Game client isn't using any data the following 9 steps will get you back into the game.

1. Reboot PC
2. Re-install Game client
3. DNS/Winsock Reset
4. Change to a public DNS
5. Remove Customizations
6. Forward Ports
7. Try using a VPN
8. Update Network Drivers
9. Format PC

2a) Windows Search → Add and Remove Programs → MTG Arena → Uninstall.

3.a) Flush DNS and Winsock ResetTo do so on a PC:
Close the MTG Arena client
Open a Windows command prompt (cmd.exe) as an administrator
Type ipconfig /flushdns and press enter
Type ipconfig /registerdns and press enter
Type ipconfig /release and press enter
Type ipconfig /renew and press enter
Type netsh winsock reset and press enter
Restart your computer and launch the MTG Arena client
To do so on a Mac:

Open a terminal window from Applications → Utilities. You could also press Command + Space and searching for "Terminal"
From there, input the command for flushing your cache. The command you use is different depending on your Mac OS version.

4.a) Try changing to a public DNS with these steps:
Go to the Control Panel → Network and Internet → Network and Sharing Center → Change Adapter Settings → right click on the adapter you're using and click Properties → On the Networking tab, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties. Select Use the following DNS server addresses and enter 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as the servers. Restart your computer and see if you see any difference in behaviour.
This can cause problems on some corporate networks - you may need to undo this change if it prevents you from accessing other sites you need. ###

5.a) If you've made any customizations related to MTG Arena in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts, remove those.

6.a) Try forwarding the following TCP ports: 80, 443, 9405, 9505 (Google how to forward ports with your specific router)

7.a) Try connecting with a US-based VPN (I use PureVPN, this worked for me)

8.a) Update your network drivers by going to Device Manager → Network Adapters → right-click the adapter you're using → Update Driver Software

9.a) Windows Search→ Reset this PC→ Get Started→ Remove Everything

I hope these steps helped you in resolving your MTG Arena Waiting for the Server error!
