Willig, William & Davidson Partner Michael Dryden’s Fight for Cancer Treatment for Firefighters
NBC10 investigative reporter Mitch Blacher reports that local firefighters are fighting with the city over rejected cancer claims despite a state law intended to force cities into covering cancer care as a work-related injury.
Michael Dryden who represents Scott Sladek and other firefighters across the state is going to keep fighting for firefighters. He has already used the Pennsylvania Supreme Court opinion to win a few cases in firefighters' favor, mostly leading to settlements after initial denials.
Dryden believes that the city is going to continue to make firefighters fight but he is hopeful that as more cases are successful, the city will start approving more claims.
