In this lesson, we have fractions - addition and subtraction with different denominators here on the Professor Angela Mathematics channel, with solutions using the conventional method and the butterfly trick.
To solve an addition or subtraction of fractions with different denominators, it is necessary to find a common denominator. This denominator can be found by calculating the LCM (least common multiple). Then, we calculate the equivalent fraction and solve the operation, whether it is addition and/or subtraction.
