Introduction to Python Programming. In this video, we introduce basic concepts you'll need to get started, such as reading and writing files. Writing to files allows you to save the output from your Python program. Reading from files allows you to load data from the file into your program and work with it.

Files can either be "text" or "binary." In this video, we talk about reading and writing text files.

You should already have Python installed on your computer. You can download Python for Windows, OSx, and Linux from http://python.org/
