Fix Minecraft Failed to Login Error Code Drowned (2026)

Getting the "Failed to Login" error with Code Drowned in Minecraft? This usually points to network or DNS issues. Follow these steps to fix it.

Step 1: Update Your Network Adapter Driver

Press Windows + X and select "Device Manager." Expand "Network adapters." Right-click on your active Ethernet or Wi-Fi adapter and select "Update driver." Choose "Search automatically for drivers." Windows will search for and install the latest driver. Restart your PC if prompted.

Step 2: Open Network Adapter Properties

Press Start, type "View network connections" and press Enter. Right-click on your active Ethernet adapter (or Wi-Fi adapter) and select "Properties."

Step 3: Disable IPv6

In the properties window, scroll through the list of items. Uncheck the box next to "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)" to disable it.

Step 4: Change IPv4 DNS to Cloudflare

Still in the properties window, select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and click "Properties." Choose "Use the following DNS server addresses" and enter:

Preferred DNS server: 1.1.1.1

Alternate DNS server: 1.0.0.1

Click OK, then Close.

Step 5: Restart Your PC

Restart your computer to ensure all changes take effect. Launch Minecraft. The Failed to Login Error Code Drowned should now be resolved.
