Chrome is one of the most resource-hungry programs on your PC — and if you game with Chrome open, it's actively fighting your GPU for frames, eating your RAM, and spiking your CPU in the background. In this video, I fix all of it with 7 built-in Chrome settings. No downloads, no third-party tools, nothing to pay for.
💡 KEY CHANGES:
→ Shift + Esc → Chrome Task Manager → kill heavy processes immediately
→ Memory Saver → On (Balanced or Maximum)
→ chrome://extensions → disable unused extensions
→ Settings → System → background running → Off
→ Settings → Performance → Preload pages → Standard or Off
→ NVIDIA Control Panel → chrome.exe → Background frame rate → 20 FPS
→ chrome://flags → GPU rasterization → Enabled (check chrome://gpu after)

📌 DO THESE SURVIVE CHROME UPDATES?
Almost all of them — yes. Set once and forget. The only one to recheck after a major Chrome update is the GPU rasterization flag. Go to chrome://gpu and confirm Rasterization says Hardware accelerated. If not — re-enable in chrome://flags.
