24th-Annual USC Libraries Scripter Award (2012)
The writers of "The Descendants" won the 24th-annual USC Libraries Scripter Awards, held in Doheny Memorial Library on February 18, 2012. Alexander Payne, Nat Faxon, and Jim Rash adapted the 2007 novel of the same name by Kaui Hart Hemmings. The other nominees included the writers of "A Dangerous Method," "Jane Eyre," "Moneyball," and "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy."
Paul Haggis accepted the Literary Achievement Award.
