Presentation: Simone Weil's requirement is to formulate a thought of reality. The topicality of thought is the guarantee of a thought in action, that is to say, one that is part of the present experience and involves the intellectual in his time. Thinking is therefore acting. In 1934, the factory as Simone Weil experimented with it was a model from which the political issues and metaphysical structure of the time could be understood. For Simone Weil, being of his time therefore meant thinking about workers' work and its organization. Not in Linhart's way but rather as Diogenes in search of a man.
