VIOSO projection onto a palace without white canvas (Madagascar2 german) #1
This is a summer movie that lacks of a white canvas. As location a 15th century water castle in Saxonia/Germany is chosen. The film is projected directly onto the wall of the castle, becaue there was no possibility to set up a projection screen without disturbing the historical ensemble of buildings.
The correction ot the surface is done by smartprojecting software from the german based vendor "VIOSO".
Two XGA Sanyo projectors (12.000 Ansi Lumen each) are combined to form a seamless image using the automatic softeding capabilities of smartprojecting.
The setup of this projection is done in realtime (!) while the audience is already seated. This is because the projectors are removed during daytime and brought into position sortly before sunset. The whole procedure of measuring the surface for it's correction and softedge takes approx. 4 minutes and can be watched as well.
So, tell me: Who else is capable of doing a summer-night's movie of this size within 5 minutes, doing correction of arbitrary surfaces and a perfect softedge-projection while people are watching?
