As part of the process to return the R179s to service, R179 trains are being put through a comprehensive operational testing process to validate the performance of various subsystems. Here we see an R179 "burn test" to operationally test the doors, signage, and automated announcement systems. The testing process entailed the dynamic re-signing of the train to various interesting routes, such as the V and B lines. Enjoy!
