Sometimes controversial stories come out, like Thriller Bark or Fishman Island, but Punk Hazard pissed me off so much that I abandoned One Piece for half a year. I hated it with every fiber of my being. But at the very end, Oda laid such a solid foundation that I can't even call it bad anymore.
