The Simplified Loader template requires the BI Data Model to download information from Oracle Fusion to the Excel sheet. The most convenient method to create the BI report is to use the Admin Panel. The limitation of using the Admin Panel is no support for SSO login. Therefore, if your organization's BI administrator only has an SSO login, they must follow the steps detailed in this video.
The first step is to request the .catalog file from Simplified Loader support.
Step 2 is to ensure that SL_Templates folder exists in the BI catalog.
and the last step is to unarchive the .catalog file in the SL_Templates folder.
To complete the first step, log an incident with Simplified Loader support asking for the catalog file. The support team will either upload the catalog file to the incident or share it using the Published Document menu. I am checking the incident after I have been notified by email that the incident is updated. The incident mentions that the file is uploaded to the Published Document section. Navigate to the Published Document section and download the file.
To upload the catalog file to Oracle Fusion, navigate to Oracle Fusion. Log in with the user having BI Administrator role access. Click Tools, Report and Analytics, Browse Catalog. In the catalog, navigate to the Custom folder and look for folder SL_Templates. If the folder doesn't exist, create the folder as demonstrated in the video.
Navigate to the SL_Templates folder. Click option Unarchive. Browse and select the catalog file. Click Ok. The unarchive action may take about a minute. Wait for the confirmation message. The catalog file is now imported successfully.
