Tarot investigation into the Elisa Lam case. In late January 2013, 21-year-old Canadian student Elisa Lam set off on a solo trip across the United States. On January 28, she checked into the infamous Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles. Her roommates immediately complained about her strange behavior, and Lam was moved to a separate room. On January 31, she stopped contacting her parents, who contacted the police. After two weeks of searching, police released chilling elevator surveillance footage from February 1.

The climax came on February 19, when guests began complaining of weak water pressure and a strange taste. A hotel technician, while checking the rooftop cisterns, discovered Elisa Lam's naked body in one of them.

The main oddities and inconsistencies in the case

Despite the investigation, numerous gaps remain that prevent the official version of events from being accepted:

· Eerie elevator video: In the released recording, Eliza behaves extremely erratically: she enters the elevator, randomly presses buttons, hides in a corner, peers out into the hallway, and frantically gestures, as if speaking to an invisible pursuer. The elevator doors remain open for a long time, which is unusual in itself.

· Unusual location of discovery: It remains unclear how the frail woman was able to open the heavy water tank lid on her own, and then (according to some sources) close it behind her. According to staff, the stairway to the roof was locked and equipped with an alarm.

· Clothing and belongings: Lam's body was found naked, with her clothing and personal belongings floating in the same water. This casts doubt on the theory that it was an accident while swimming.

· Autopsy results: According to the official report, the cause of death was ruled "accidental drowning," but no water was found in the girl's lungs, which contradicts this diagnosis.
