I'm selling small scrap metal. I've accumulated quite a bit of small scrap metal from various salvage yards, and today I decided to take it to a recycling center and sell it for cash. I was collecting scrap metal hoping the price would go up and the metal would become more expensive, but scrap metal isn't going up anytime soon. It looks like the coronavirus crisis is starting, and while scrap metal is still worth something, I decided to take it and sell it. By the time the price goes up, I hope to have collected some more metal. I won't be selling copper and brass; copper and brass prices are still low, and it's better to let them sit and wait out the coronavirus crisis. Copper, especially, is best left alone. I stored the scrap metal in cardboard boxes, put the aluminum in an aluminum crate left over from a dismantled washing machine, and loaded it all into the car and drove off to the recycling center. I weighed the metal on my scales beforehand to know the weight and what to expect at the scrap metal collection point, so I wouldn't be scammed. Although the metal is small, it weighs quite a bit due to its compact size. The collection point had no complaints about the size of the metal, and I was able to successfully hand it in and collect the money—making money from real trash, so to speak. Of course, the collection point was slightly lighter than I calculated on my scale, and he also calculated 4% contamination, but it still came out OK. The aluminum I handed in weighed almost the same as my scale. Overall, small scrap metal is worth collecting and handing in. Despite the economic downturn and falling metal prices, you can make a little money from it. After all, it's money, and you can buy groceries with it. I also tried selling microwave parts at the market, but they didn't sell, even though they're said to be expensive. I hope this video about scrap metal recycling will be interesting and informative, and will be of practical use to someone. I wish everyone successful scrap metal collection and cash donation, especially for non-ferrous metals and copper. Enjoy watching! Thank you all for watching!
