Zoom is your friend - using Audacity to cut out pops, clicks, and stuff
http://www.PodcastFastTrack.com - There's TONS of ways to deal with problem audio, but pops or clicks that mysteriously happen while a speaker is speaking are some of the worst.
The main problem is that the sound of the click/pop is "laid over" the sound of the voice.... they happen simultaneously, which makes them impossible to separate so only one can be removed.
So... how do you deal with the click/pop? I've found that 90% of the time I can get rid of them this way, with no noticeable damage happening to the voice part of the track.
Using the zoom tool is your friend.
