Microsoft word default setting is left to right. but sometimes we need to change direction. you can change the setting from the home tab easily but columns are not fallow this setting.
you need to follow the following setting for Urdu, Arabic language.
Right to Left Setting of Columns in MS Word.
From the Microsft Word ribbon (Menu), select "Page Layout"
Columns More Columns
In the new window, check "Right to Left"
