Sunny Isle is growing again, and this time we’re turning the land beside the high-speed station into a new stadium district.
Before the stadium goes in, we replace the existing high-speed rail station with a more modern asset and connect it properly to the nearby local station with a new sky bridge. Then we move the old farmland further into the island, opening up space for a new football ground, mixed-use development, hotels, offices, shops, a school, tram stops, bus connections, and a neighbourhood that hopefully feels useful beyond match day.
