My performance from the "Al Khaima" workshop put on at Arabesque in Toronto. This is actually from May 15th, It just took me this long to decide if I liked it enough to post it lol.
Really fantastic workshop with instructors, Yasmina Ramzy, Bassam Bishara and Suleiman Warwar that was based on performing to live music. If you get a chance I can't recommend this workshop enough.

While I have performed with a live drummer a couple of times, this was my first time performing with a full live arabic band. It was so much fun. It was completely improv as we were not told what the band would be playing. I just knew they would be playing a song and we got to choose whether or not we wanted a taxim or a drum solo, I chose drum solo. I had to cut the intro off because the video was too long for youtube.
