PowerShell Tutorials Event Viewer #2 : Get-WinEvent (Filter by XML and XPATH)
Learn how to parse the event logs with PowerShell using the get-winevent cmdlet, this cmdlet gives a bit more flexibility in the queries compared to get-eventlog and is much quicker in fetching the event. We will go over how to use the cmdlet using the FilterXML and FilterXPath parameters. In the next video we will look at filtering using the Hashtable.
