Isaac Albeniz born in Spain (Camprodon) was a Spanish pianist and composer. He was characterized as the leading figure in the creation of a national style of composition in Spain.
Asturias (or Leyanda or prelude) by Isaac Albeniz it is one of the most important-famous piece for the guitar repertoire that those who do not know would probably be astonished to discover that the work was originally written for the piano.
Albeniz included Asturias as the first movement of the suite Chants D’espana written for piano in 1892 and it consist three movements. The piece was first published as the first movement of the suite and originally named "Preludio".
