Green India Challenge Inspired by Telangana Harita Haram has taken a big leap in motivating Individuals/ Organisations to Adopt Urban Forests:
Telangana Harita Hara gvm (Green Garland to Telangana) was started 5 years before by CM KCR to increase the Forest cover from 21% to 33% in Telangana with a Rains should come back and Money's should go back to woods.
Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar with the inspiration drawn from his leader CM KCR, initiated Green India Challenge on 17-07-2018 with a slogan "Hara Hain Tho Bara Hain".
The main aim of GIC was to help increase the Green cover and motivating people, especially youth to take part in saving Environment.
