The Players

Jeff Wagner

Jeff "Old School" Wagner has been a part of the SideFX Software support team from the early days of PRISMS leading up to today's Houdini. Over the years he has accumulated a vast wealth of knowledge and insight and is regarded by many as a true Houdini Guru.

Tighe Rzankowski

Tighe is a VFX artist currently based in Berlin. He currently works at RISE as a Senior FX Artist. Previously Tighe worked on commercials at The Mill and has created tools for Alt.vfx. https://linktr.ee/trzanko

Vlad Dryamov

Moscow-based digital artist working worldwide as a freelancer. Over 6 years of professional experience in lighting/shading/rendering and simulations. My main tools are Houdini and Redshift. Daniel Soo

Daniel Soo is an FX Artist at The Mill LA. Worked on over 60 projects there ranging from different commercials brands, game cinematics, music videos, and real-time applications. He started learning Houdini in his hometown Singapore about 10 years ago was inspired to pursue a career in it and has never looked back since. He is passionate about computer graphics, proceduralism, and emerging technologies.https://danielsoo.com/

The Commentators

Remi Pierre is an FX Developer at Method Studios Vancouver. He has previously worked as an FX artist/pipeline TD in VFX studios, Digital Domain, Image Engine, MPC, and BUF.

Paul Ambrosiussen is a Technical Artist working at SideFX. His responsibilities include being a developer and lead for SideFXLabs, innovating new workflows, and working with key game customers. Paul often spends his time sharing his expertise, whether it be speaking at key trade events such as the Game Developers Conference, providing career advice to industry peers or creating tutorials on various platforms. Proceduralism has always been an interest of the young 3D artist and drives his creative adventures. The tools and tutorials created by Paul can frequently be seen in various major publications, including digital and print.

Debra Isaac is a visual artist, animator, and the founder of https://www.houdini.school/. She loves community building, hosts Houdini Battle, and co-organizes The Los Angeles Houdini User group (LAHUG). She has over 8 years of experience teaching Houdini and currently teaches at Drexel University. She is passionate about scientific visualization, motion graphics, and emerging technologies. Her clients have included Intel, Mattel, and The UCLA Art|Sci Center.
