How Duress works in contract law
This refers to intentional violence or threats intended to get a party into a CONTRACT.
Duress interferes with a Party’s free consent when it comes to contract and as such it is a vitiating factor.
The general view of contracts coerced is that such contract is voidable at the option of the party coerced.
